AI Assist and Copilot should write suggested messages and replies in my own language, and ideally in the language of the contact I'm writing to, instead of only in English.
Current gap: Conversation starters and drafted emails always come back in English. Having to copy them out and translate them somewhere else defeats the point — for German-speaking users in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, English suggestions aren't usable day to day. Copilot chat will answer in German if you write to it in German, but the generated suggestions themselves don't follow, and there is no language setting for them.
Desired outcome:
- German supported as a language for AI-generated messages, at minimum
- Automatic language selection per contact or per message, matching the language of the person being written to
- A manual switch to override the automatic choice
