Reddit Messages Integration
Integrate Dex with Reddit > automatically pulling direct messages and logging them as last interactions. Raised through support, with a tightly scoped ask: Reddit DMs as another messaging source for Dex's existing interaction tracking, behaving the way LinkedIn messages do today. Associate a Reddit conversation with a contact, update Last Interaction when messages are exchanged, retain the latest message snippet for context, and link back to the conversation. Explicitly out of scope per the request: Reddit profile syncing, posts and comments, and any other Reddit-specific features. The use case is customer-discovery outreach, where the value is remembering who was spoken to, when, and what about, so follow-ups land correctly.
In CONTACT INFO: "Company" should be "Organization"
“Company” (which implies a for-profit enterprise) is less inclusive than “organization” (which would be inclusive of higher-education institutions, government agencies, friends from your religious institution, etc)
Feature request: ORCID as a first-class social linkl
ORCID [1] is a “free, unique, persistent identifier (PID) for individuals to use as they engage in research, scholarship, and innovation activities.” Many academics use this instead of LinkedIn as a professional handle. Feature request: include this in the default options in “social links” [1] https://orcid.org/
Business Card Fix
When scanning a new card, It never crops the card properly. The default cropping is way off. It is not difficult to do an automatic cropping of the card so it is clear and readable before the OCR. After an event, there are way too many cards that need to be cropped manually. Not useful.
Write AI message suggestions in my language, not just the interface
AI Assist and Copilot should write suggested messages and replies in my own language, and ideally in the language of the contact I'm writing to, instead of only in English. Current gap: Conversation starters and drafted emails always come back in English. Having to copy them out and translate them somewhere else defeats the point — for German-speaking users in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, English suggestions aren't usable day to day. Copilot chat will answer in German if you write to it in German, but the generated suggestions themselves don't follow, and there is no language setting for them. Desired outcome: German supported as a language for AI-generated messages, at minimum Automatic language selection per contact or per message, matching the language of the person being written to A manual switch to override the automatic choice
Enrichment bad matches - why?
Claude caught a bunch of bad matches in enrichment. Any suggestions on improving this?
Hide the Shuffle counter, or turn Shuffle off
The number shown next to Shuffle is the remaining daily shuffle allowance, but visually it reads as an unread notification badge, and it does not clear the way a notification would. Requested by a customer who uses badge counts as a signal that something needs action, and finds a permanent number in the header a standing distraction. They asked for either a control to hide the counter, or a way to turn Shuffle off entirely. Raised without urgency. There is currently no setting in either the web or mobile app to hide the counter or disable Shuffle.
Option to count email correspondence only after a reply
Provide an optional mode in which an outbound email does not count or advance correspondence until the recipient replies. Preserve current behavior by default.
Scheduled weekly contact export
Let me set up an automatic export of my contacts (and optionally notes) on a schedule, for example once a week, instead of exporting by hand from Settings → Import / Export. Current gap: exports are one-shot downloads only. The only way to get a recurring copy today is to pull contacts through the Dex User API from your own script. Desired outcome: Pick a cadence (weekly or monthly) and which files to include (contacts, notes, network updates). Receive the CSV by email or a download link when it is ready. Keep manual exports available as they are today.
Remove write permission requirement to gmail/calendar
It should be possible to grant read-only access to gmail + calendar as opposed to being forced to grant full read/write access or nothing.
Dex Feature Request: Add "Last Note" Property to Group Views
Hey team, I love using Dex and had a quick request for group views. Right now, I can filter by the last interaction date, but I cannot add the last note as a visible property column. It would be super helpful if we could add the last note type or even a short 30-character preview of the last note as a property in list views, so we can quickly scan our recent history with each contact. Thanks for all your hard work on the app!
Let Dex Copilot send WhatsApp messages after confirmation
Allow Dex Copilot to prepare and send a WhatsApp message from the user’s connected account after the user reviews the recipient and message. Current gap: Copilot cannot send a user-requested note through WhatsApp. Desired outcome: Resolve the intended contact without sending when identity is ambiguous. Show the exact recipient and message for confirmation before sending. Respect connection, permission, delivery, and rate limits.
Exclude calendar invitees from automatic contact creation
Provide a way to exclude people who appear only as calendar-event invitees from automatic contact creation. This would reduce clutter from large or third-party event guest lists while preserving useful calendar context.
Let Dex Copilot use connected iMessage and WhatsApp conversations
Allow Dex Copilot to use authorized conversation data from connected iMessage and WhatsApp sources when users search their network or look for people to follow up with. Desired outcome: Let users choose which connected sources Copilot should use, including excluding LinkedIn. Use supported iMessage and WhatsApp conversation data for contact and follow-up searches. Explain source coverage, retention, and permission limits clearly. Distinguish an integration being connected from its data being available to Copilot. Current gap: Messaging integrations can appear connected while Copilot says it cannot access their conversations.
Let Dex Copilot export large contact lists as multiple CSV files
Allow Dex Copilot to export a user’s contacts to downloadable CSV files, including large contact sets. Desired outcome: Let the user choose the number or maximum size of files. Preview record counts before export. Provide separate downloadable CSV files. Current gap: Contact export exists in Dex, but Copilot cannot start the export or split the result into multiple files.
Add hands-free voice actions to Dex Mobile
Add a hands-free voice mode to Dex Mobile so users can work with Dex while driving or otherwise unable to type. Desired outcome: let users speak and review supported actions such as looking up contact context, adding notes and reminders, sending messages with attachments, creating calendar events, and starting calls. Before any external action, Dex should show what it understood and require the appropriate confirmation. Third-party purchases or other transactional actions need separate product and safety review.
Import only email contacts who replied
Add an import filter for connected email accounts that selects only people who sent an inbound reply or participated in a two-way conversation. Current gap: email import can select all contacts or use interaction totals, but it cannot distinguish inbound replies from outbound-only recipients. Desired outcome: across multiple connected accounts, let users review and import reply-only contacts without importing large outbound-only lists.
Let users receive the Dex daily digest on WhatsApp
Allow users to choose WhatsApp as a delivery channel for the Dex daily digest. Current gap: Dex Copilot does not expose WhatsApp as a supported digest delivery option. Desired outcome: users can select WhatsApp for their daily digest while keeping existing delivery options available.
Let Dex Copilot remove favorites from contacts in bulk
Allow Dex Copilot to find starred contacts and remove the favorite/starred status from all matching contacts in one reviewed bulk action. Show the contacts that will change before applying the update so the user can confirm the scope.
