Just to clarify my vote on this : I'm more interested in having the last interaction date updated in dex whenever I whatsapp someone than syncing contacts (already possible through the phone sync) or sending messages through dex

Conversations with the same person can happen across multiple mediums, whether it's gmail, whatsapp, linkedin, messenger, etc… Would be great to centralize those threads in the timeline. Even if it's not the contents of the message, just that a message/email was sent and on which medium would go far into tracking actual relationship strength with a person

I'm looking for last interaction automatic sync, can even work via the MacOS whatsapp, this is critical, happy to share more

This disappears if there are new interactions. So you can't see your last interaction by whatsapp. A solution (voted a feature request a minute ago) would be to import whatsapp messages just like emails (maybe keep all day messages with a contact inside a single entry in the contact tineline?).
