Tag organizer

Is there any way to sort/categorize tags? For example, I use tags to identify which event I met people at, in addition to many other descriptors. It can quickly get out of hand with an outrageously long list of rags, making it difficult to view/sort. (I think this is related to the existing post about sorting tags & also searching tags in workflows).
