For a variety of reasons, I'd want the person deleted from Dex if I only had them in LinkedIn and removed the connection. Happy to elaborate on the use cases of why I would be deleting connections in LinkedIn.
Just a few include:
1) we're all getting so many linkedin requests, often to due to automation. While I do my best to be judicious in accepting, we've all had the sales pitch from a new contact within minutes to hours after accepting. These get deleted in LinkedIn.
2) There are other reasons I sometimes purge contacts in Linkedin. I'm carving out time quarterly for this now since the LinkedIn algorithm expands or reduces reach of posts based on the engagement of contacts that see a post and engage or do not engage.
3) After connecting with someone, even sometimes having been connected to them for years, their content makes me want to unfollow or remove the connection.
Similar to contacts on phone/email, the more the junk ones build up the harder it is to manage them. When they're removed in LinkedIn, it would be good for them to either be automatically removed from Dex or for Dex to prompt to remove.

Kurt Uhlir: +1 to this, I wrote into Dex Support about it. Most people's LI Networks are an absolute mess. As part of my Onboarding to Dex I want to go through and prune my 2K+ size LI Network so I can better utilize it. Right now that motion of removing LI contacts in your Network (whether from Dex or LinkedIn) is not fully supported by Dex imho.

Nathan: Yeah, it's on my list to clean up (out) a fair number of LI connections. I may use the unfollow feature for some, but I assume I'll remove 1K+ easily over the next few months.
The LinkedIn algorithm has gotten so much better but is still difficult to see updates from specific people. That was one good feature of Google+ back in the say and can somewhat be done with Facebook lists. I found a 3rd party tool that lets me add people manually to a list and then it shows me a seperate LinkedIn feed of just those people. It would be incredible if Dex gave us a feed for LinkedIn contacts in each tag. That should be another feature request, but in time. Loving Dex thus far. Just referred someone else to it today.
