Add an option to selectively sync specific information as well to avoid overwriting existing fields.

I'm finding the location data on LinkedIn is super inaccurate, and Dex keeps overwriting my new location when I correct it. Super annoying!

Even something as broad as Location would be helpful.
As would being able to flag a LinkedIn contact in DEX for Not syncing (and so open up room to sync someone you can select yourself).

It happened to me that I set Location to dozens of contacts because they moved, and didn’t update LinkedIn.
During the last year, 2025-2026, while I was using Dex, they updated the Location logic at least 3 times.
Firstly, countries were like “Chicago, Illinois, United States”, “Bern, Schweiz”, “Berlin, Deutschland”,
Then “Berlin, DE”, “Barcelona, ES”, “Bern, CH”.
Then “Cupertino, California, United States of America”.
Now it is back to “Bern, Switzerland”.
It renamed Location when I reconnected the sync from LinkedIn or when enhancing an individual contact.
And I had 3-5 spellings for the same city. And not all spellings had been displayed on the Map View. Now seems to be working.
In addition, I have been learning French and Swiss German, and my system language changes all the time.
Firstly, I was fighting – I tried to normalize by renaming duplicate cities.
In Contacts → Locationhttps://getdex.com/app/locations So for each city, I have only one standard name to Drag’n’Drop people to.
Now I just trust Dex to name Location as it wants, as long as everybody is displayed in the Map View https://getdex.com/app/map
I use Address fields for more specific locations or sometimes freeform natural language descriptions. An address can be as general as putting just the name of the country alone.

Yes, AND an option to allow people that you're corresponding with on LinkedIn be automatically included on the contacts to keep up to date.
I’d like a way to maintain the LinkedIn connection without it syncing all contacts.

Requested again by a customer whose LinkedIn network is larger than their plan's sync limit. They want to decide which connections count toward the limit, for example by giving priority to connections who already exist as contacts in Dex, instead of the sync taking the most recently added connections first.
