I'm happy to share that we've added a "Dismiss" button on both web and mobile to get rid of a merge suggestion that's incorrect.

+1. Many of the suggested merges are incorrect. I'd like to be able to dismiss those suggestions so I don't see them again every time I go to "merge and fix" ** edit: I see that this function exists in web app just not mobile.

Quick note -- we're thinking about how to do this. For your reference, if you add different linkedin profiles to these contacts, and they are different, then they will not be suggested as duplicates even if they share the same name. I know this may not help in all cases but may be worth trying!

Kevin Sun: Well, if that worked the same across all of the social media fields, then that could work for 80% of the cases. Linkedin will work for the one I have right now, but that is lucky - I only have about 30% of my contacts on Linkedin!

James Hayward: It actually does work across the other social media fields (facebook, twitter, etc). Will keep this ticket open too as we think about how to address this best.
