Improve 'Related Contacts' / related contact suggestions
I think the Related Contacts feature has great potential, but its current implementation could be improved.
The process of adding relations is not user-friendly, and it can be difficult to remember all related people you want to add at the top of your mind. To make this feature more useful, it would be helpful to have recommendations for potential connections based on your LinkedIn network or other sources. Additionally, when you meet multiple people at once who are all connected to each other, it would be more efficient to be able to add them all at once instead of one by one. Such as adding a all the people in a group as related connections.
Overall, making these changes would make the Related Contacts feature more user-friendly and save time for users.

I would also like to see defined relationships, such as father/mother or direct report, etc.

Use case : contacts in the same email thread.
Use case : contacts in the same meeting
Use case : people in the same whatsapp group.
Suggest and let the user confirm or deny
I would not suggest to get into the level of "relation" because this becomes really complicated but you could keep a scoring in the background based on the intensity of the interactions (frequency, length of messages etc…)

You could easily improve this significantly by creating a link with confidence/bond:
people have been invited to the same meeting (high confidence)
people are in the same chat (WhatsApp, LinkedIn, etc.) (high confidence if group is small)
people are in the same email thread (normal) (high confidence if group is small, low if not)
people work at the same company (or have in the past)
Then the strength of the connection can be represented by the thickness of the line and/or closeness of two bubbles.

Yes! Or the ability to add multiple "related" fields with customizable labels.
I'm OK making other people's kids full contacts. It's helpful to be able to store kids names and birthdays.
I use dex for purely personal reasons as opposed to just work reasons.

In map view, I wish I could minimize the side panel showing a list of contacts and make the map view area bigger, consider it in the next phase of releases as a new feature.
