Desktop Google Contacts Sync

All my contacts sync to Google via Apple's Contacts app, but the mobile contact importer is unreliable and does not import all contacts properly. Would be great if we had an option to directly import contacts from Google Contacts on desktop or web. (Which is a different set of contacts than the gmail or gcal importer).
