Customizable Views with Metadata and Columns

Details:

Request to enhance Dex’s “Views” feature so users can create fully customizable views similar to SharePoint or spreadsheet-style layouts. Features could include:

Selectable columns such as Name, Company, Social Media icons, Location, or custom fields

Ability to filter and sort using tags or metadata (e.g., interests like soccer, hobbies, location)

Save and switch between multiple custom views for different workflows

Value:

Makes it faster to scan, filter, and search the contact register

Supports more advanced segmentation without exporting data externally

Helps users take advantage of tags and metadata for targeted outreach or relationship management

    Raised again by a customer working through a large contact list. Two things they were trying to do and could not: show Location as a selectable property on the contacts table, and bring the contacts with no location set together on that same screen so the gaps are visible at a glance.

    For context on the current state: Location exists as a filter on the contacts page but only with "contains" and "equals", so there is no way to surface the empty ones from the contacts list, and Location is not available as a display property or as a sort option in either the current or the previous web app. The Locations page does have a "Contacts without location" view, but that is a separate screen from the contacts table and does not address the column.
