Kevin Sun: You can't really do anything yet with the Beta that has launched. I'd love to be able to pull a contact and return a custom field. Pipedrive has a great interface for Zapier. I am beginning to build my CRM out around Zapier and may need to pivot to Pipedrive.

JT Marting: It's likely we won't be able to support every usecase on day one (as context: Pipedrive has ~1000 employees and we have 6!).
We're building the first version of our Zapier integration to be useful for the usecases we've heard about. If first-class Zapier support with custom fields is a necessary requirement we may not be able to support that in our first pass.

Any chance we can get an update on when this will be implemented? It's been on the roadmap for a while & seems to be the top requested feature that's not in the 'In Process' column. thank you!

Kevin Sun: You can't be everything to everyone…but come on, it's 2022, you at least need an API so us nerds can try. It would absolutely be the difference between paying for a premium subscription and not really using the app at all since I can't pull contacts/notes into my normal workflow.

Kevin Sun: What I want in the Zapier integration is the ability for triggers / events in Dex to update our main CRM (which is a multi-function marketing automation platform — Keap Max Classic, fka Infusionsoft). We have too many processes built in Keap to stop using it (CRM is about one-tenth or less of what we use Keap for — we use it for eCommerce, subscription management, automation of operational and admin processes, automation of lead gen off the back of lead magnet downloads and webinar registrations and more) so that sunk cost prevents us from switching to a different platform, but… what Dex does in the CRM and personalised outreach area is so great, I want to be able to use Dex but have it also update the contact record in Keap — e.g. add records of notes, messages etc. that are made in Dex, to Keap. I don't care too much whether we can update Dex from other sources, though that would be handy I suppose.

this is very important to me, I leave between dex and notion for most of my work and need to just have one source of truth in dex but expand features with the versatility of notion… keep us posted on the ETA.

Without a fully fledged API (ideally), and/or a way to export all of my data in an easily consumable/reusable format; it makes me hesitant to invest the time in ingesting + cleaning up my data within this tool.

Stuck on Office365 which seems to have no integrations with Dex so Zapier automation would make life a lot simpler
